Aquatic Norns

Mernorns

Here's a norn for all of you Creatures fans who've always wanted a swimming norn. As a baby, mernorns have lungs and live on land. As child/adolescents, their lungs are starting to wither and gills develop, meaning they can live on either land or water at this point. As adults, their lungs are completely gone and they have sprouted a mermaid-like tail. At this stage, they must be in water at all times. Females are reddish and males are dark blue. Unfortunately, I don't have the files necessary for you have Mernorns in your game on my page. You will have to go to Adventures in Nornsitting (the author's site) in order to download them. Gill Norns
The Gill Norns were created by Lis Morris of the Palace of the Evil Shee. These aquatic norns have gills their whole lives. They are in COB form and are injected into the ocean - they DO NOT survive on land, as they have no lungs. But they also have altered instincts, designed to try and get them back in the water if they leave it. When you inject them, a little "Birth" tab pops up, allowing you to select and name them, so have no fears on that account. Unlike land norns, the males and females are different colors- the females are camoflaged (brown/tan), and the males are more flamboyent (bluish-green). Don't forget to put the .gen files in the Genetics folder of your Creatures directory, otherwise you might have nice, neat, little crash in your game.

Please take a look at Norn Care before you put any aquatic norns in your world. It's very helpful.

Underwater COBs

Water Incubator- this is an underwater incubator (looks like a shell) to hatch your norns underwater.

MerDog- this changes the dog so that he can breathe water and your water norns can play with him.

Go to Adventures in Nornsitting for some more underwater COBs, zammy fish (edible), flooded volcano and more.
